It was late in the afternoon. I was coming back from the Union Square Farmer's Market where I thought I was going to be able to find a nice indoor plant to take back home with me. Sadly, the vendors were all sold out of the Money Tree plant and which I had my eye on for some time. Although I was able to buy the very delicious Lavender Honey by Andrew's Honey (a local family business that offers a big selection of different flavors of honey and honeycombs too!), I was still determined to leave the city with a plant in my hand!
That's when Ariston Flowers and Cafe saved the day.
I read about Ariston Flowers and Cafe on a website a few months ago and was interested in checking it out. What made the place so appealing to me was that it's not only a flower shop but also a cafe!
Upon entering I saw an enchanted wonderland of vibrant flowers that decorated the interior. From Calla Lillies, Bamboo Trees and Orchids, you can smell the soft fragrance flowing through the air. As I ventured further into the store, I saw tiny pink flowers, which I assume were Cherry Blossoms, that were draped across the walls and hung around columns.
I made my way to the coffee bar which had delicious baked goods and a menu that could appeal to any coffee and latter lover. Shortly upon entering the line I was greeted by a very sweet barista. I decided to order an Iced Lavender Latte with Oatmilk. Let me be honest...It was soooo good!
As I made my way to leave the store, I decided to snap a few more shots of a flower display. Unexpectedly, a store worker offered me a Pink Rose stem which I thought was so kind. I thanked him and realized that miraculously I have flowers to take home with me when I've been trying to find an indoor plant earlier.
The universe works in mysterious ways.
In sum, I love the aesthetic, concept and the inviting atmosphere from Ariston Flowers and Cafe. I can't speak on the entire menu but the latte I had was perfection! If you need a dose of caffeine, a place to relax or flower therapy, this is your place!
